The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to your community.
SASSA will be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency reported it's alarmed about the large range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your superior number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie sassa and there's no fully functional office dedicated to service the area every day. The services level designed for intervention encounters a higher influx of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it hard website to the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more resources to enable the servicing of all customers and increase usage of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
